Movie review : SUPER30

SUPER 30:  'A treat to watch'

Super 30 is a 2019 Indian Hindi- language biographical film directed by Vikas Bhal based on the life of mathematician Anand Kumar and his educational program for 30 students. The  lead role as Anand kumar is played by Hrithik Roshan and female lead by mrunal Thakur.

The  story revolves around Anand and his  struggle to make 30 students successful and well established persons as  those 30 students come from poor and impoverished background. Anand Kumar (Hrithik Roshan) being a polymath succeeds in his career and gets an opportunity to learn in Cambridge University. His father a localite of Patna,Bihar supports his son but due to insufficiency of funds, his rare opportunity is lost. As his family dwells into poverty. He and his brother Pranav (Nandish Sandhu) start selling papad's.
The most heartbreaking scene is throwing off the confirmation letter from Cambridge University, we can see that expression and emotion in his eyes. Later Lalan Singh (Aditya Shrivastava) an IIT coaching institute owner discovers him and makes him as the leading teacher of the centre. Lalan being a business minded man takes huge amount as he also have political support behind him. All of Anand's poverty comes to an end when he joins this academy.

Later on, He realise's that there are many Anand Kumar's who don't have money and lack of opportunities to get education. He starts a free coaching academy and his journey with 30 students in succeeding  the IIT entrance exams. In this movie he changes the common saying of villagers 'Raja ka beta Raja hi Banega' and shows that talented people don't depend on family background, caste creed, gender, religion or wealth.
Vikas bahl's super 30 is a riveting  movie and one time watch. Indeed it's a  fable about following your dream. Roshan has  done complete justice to his character. Being a hrithik fan it was very difficult imagining him as a typical Bihari boy. There is a lot of critics chattering about is acting in this particular film. According to me he expressed  his role very well. Another outstanding performance was done by Pankaj Tripathi, playing an  ill  famed politician. The role of Pranav (Nandish sandhu)  also played his character very well. Mrunal Thakur play's Hritik's love interest, as she has very less role but nails it. The background score and music composed by Pritam, gives an upstanding affect to the film.

Overall this film shows strong content how our society and the politicians react on the person who do some righteous and touching deeds. The character's played are very inspirational . The only drawback is the the runtime of the film and some of the unnecessary dramatic scenes. This  is a thought-provoking and Powerful film.
