INNER SELF

*The Inner Self*
When you look at the reflection you see in the mirror, do you love what you see? What is the nature of the voice in your head when you are standing in front of a mirror? Are you soft and calm or is the tone of the voice in your head harsh and judge-mental?
Do you love your eyes, your nose, your skin and its color, your hair, or do you always wish to change something about yourself? Your eyes travel down and you look at the shape of your body, what does the voice in your head say about it? Do you always think about going to the gym and changing it or perhaps sometimes even consider plastic surgery to change some features? Well, wanting to do plastic surgery doesn’t necessarily mean hating yourself or having a low self esteem. If you want to change something about yourself and it helps to boost your confidence then go ahead, do it. Nobody has the right to judge you about it. After all, they say do what makes you happy, right? As long as you aren’t hurting anyone in the pursuit of your happiness, feel free to do what you want to.
But, let’s go back to the voice in your head. Next time you are standing in front of the mirror or criticizing yourself, pay close attention to your words and the tone of that voice in your head. It says a lot about your _inner self_. The truest and most naked part of you. The part of you that nobody knows about well unless they’re a psychologist. Jokes aside, this part of you is really important. The state of this true self is highly detrimental to how you feel everyday. Not just about yourself, but about others too.
If you talk to yourself with love and compassion and appreciate the good qualities you have, you will do the same for the people around you, you will look at them with love and compassion, and a much better, deeper understanding. You will no longer be quick to judge people. You will think twice or even thrice when they do something that makes you question their morals.
