How can you know you have seen something you couldn’t possibly have seen before?

How strange.....

And yes, I have always wondered why do I feel as if I have witnessed some incidents in past though I might have not witnessed them. And,it is called dèjà vu-a french word which means “already seen”-that feeling what you are currently doing has already happened. However there are things your brain is trying to tell you when you experience dèjà vu.While dèjà vu can make you feel like you have known someone, or been somewhere, in a past life, it might be all in your head, according to science. However scientifically reported that, small seizures in the brain responsible for memory formation and retrieval could be the reason something suddenly feels familiar despite your having never experienced it before.

Dèjà vu occurs on an ocassional basis in 60-80% of people.I use to always get many weird questions in my mind when I use to experience it that is if it is some sort of mental illness or not? Or is it something related to my past life? Or if it can predict our future? Or is it a positive or negative sign? And the thing that use to scare me and wanted to know is that is there anything paranormal about deja vu?  I would say no.  It’s more of an awareness experience.  It’s something that I think probably happens to most people at least once in their life.  It’s just an intersection of what we think of as the past, present, and future all converging for a few moments.  It may technically fall under the heading of precognition, but really, how useful is it to know what’s going to happen as it’s happening?  It’s not like you can act on that information quickly enough to benefit you. And,finally I got to know there is no harm or nothing to worry about in experiencing déjà vu. As it is said by George Harrison,“It’s all in the mind.” Therefore, it is all about how our mind, our brain works or reacts to particular situation. If you are one of them, there might be some things your brain is trying to tell you when you are experiencing dèjà vu.

It is trying to say that you are not paying attention to anything. Today, we have become so busy in our lives that we do not  even know what is happening around us.For example:”People who text on their cell phones while walking are only superficially aware of the shops and pedestrians they are passing. Perhaps an episode of déjà vu begins during such a moment. When we emerge into full awareness, we might do a perceptual double take. We are struck by a strange sense of familiarity because we saw the scene just moments before, unconsciously."
The experience might have already happened and if it has ocurred before then it is not a true dèjà vu. Because, it has actually taken place. Lack of sleep which turns your foggy and you experience it.
Sometimes, your brain to keep a check if it is healthy or not, makes you experience this. As, an Indian belief that it is connected to our past life. Now this is something exciting to hear, despite its not the truth. Maybe you feel as if you have seen that person, that situation before, and which instantly makes you believe that it is our past life experience
It is said that, it is good to experience dèjà vu which somewhere indicates that you are on the right path in life. Life is basically throwing a bunch of stuff at a wall and seeing what sticks, and you might not always be sure you're on the right path. According to me déjà vu might be your brain's way of telling you that you're heading in the right direction. It's basically a message from your higher self telling you to keep going.

I guess that to me, dèjà vu is like a mini precognitive experience that doesn’t have much value in everyday living.  It’s lovely to experience though.  When I have a deja vu I sometimes feel like my past and present have caught up to a significant moment on my life path and the deja vu is there to say, “You strayed off your path a little but now you’re back.  Congratulations! Now let’s continue…”  And continue I do.
